TME Intermediate Football Years 5–6 | Ages 9–11 | Upper KS2

Build skilful and intelligent football players with seven progressive lessons designed for Years 5–6.

The scheme develops ball mastery, dribbling and turning before progressing to passing and receiving, support angles and maintaining possession. Pupils practise attacking and protecting the ball in 1v1 situations, defending through delay and regain, and combining effectively to create and finish scoring opportunities. The final lesson includes competition, officiating and assessment.

The package includes curriculum and inclusion guidance, detailed teacher-ready plans and a visual infographic for every lesson. Know and Show outcomes, vocabulary, coaching cues, equipment, timings, safety, Head–Heart–Hands assessment, AfL, STEP differentiation, SEND and EAL support and Plan–Monitor–Reflect prompts are embedded throughout.

The emphasis on small-sided games ensures high activity levels and helps pupils understand when, where and why to use each skill.
