DETERMINATION OF WATER QUALITY INDEX OF RIVER NGADDA (MAIDUGURI BORNO STATE)

Water quality index (WQI) is an important tool in the assessment and management of water resources. The aim of the study was to assess some physicochemical parameters like (pH(mg/l), Temperature (oC) (mg/l),conductivity (µS/cm),turbidity (NTU), lead (mg/l), nitrate (mg/l), iron(mg/l), phosphate (mg/l), total hardness (TH) (mg/l), total dissolved solids (TDS) (mg/l) and Chromium (mg/l) of river Ngadda and present the complex water quality data of the river in a form that can easily be understood by the technical and non-technical personnel. This research consists of a title page, approval page, certification, abstract, list of abbreviations, Chapters One to Five (from introduction to conclusion), and references.
