TME Advanced Rounders – Complete Years 7–9 Scheme of Learning

Develop confident striking, fielding and tactical decision-making through 14 progressive rounders lessons for Years 7–9. Pupils refine batting, bowling, catching, throwing, ground fielding and base running before combining these skills in conditioned and competitive games.

The scheme explores batting placement, fielding positions, communication, scoring opportunities, risk management and team strategy. Pupils also develop a secure understanding of rules, umpiring and the responsibilities of different playing positions.

Every lesson provides detailed activity organisation, distances, equipment, timings, safety guidance and technical teaching cues. Visual infographics, STEP differentiation, SEND and EAL strategies, Head–Heart–Hands assessment and Assessment for Learning support inclusive delivery. Metacognition and oracy prompts help pupils justify tactical choices, analyse patterns of play and provide constructive peer feedback.
