Wickenberry shawl
I live in rural Lincolnshire, in a small village on the edge of the Wolds. My part of Lincolnshire is renowned for its big skies and lovely landscapes and this pattern, which is part of my Lincolnshire Shawlscapes series, reflects the history of the land which surrounds my village.
Wickenby is a small village near to where I live. During the Second World War it had, like many areas in Lincolnshire, an airfield where aeroplanes from the RAF took off daily, some never to return.
