In Bellweather, Monday ends exactly as it should.

Then everyone wakes up on Wednesday. Nobody is surprised. Nobody asks questions. As far as the town is concerned, Tuesday has never existed. But eleven-year-old Mara Vale remembers it. She remembers Tuesday library visits, tomato soup for dinner and, most importantly, that her older brother Elliot disappeared on a Tuesday three years ago.

When old signs, forgotten library stamps and impossible memories begin proving that Mara is right, she discovers that Tuesday has not been destroyed. It is still somewhere between Monday and Wednesday - and Elliot may be trapped inside it.
