STUDENT’S FACTORS AS PREDICTORS OF THEIR ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE IN OSUN STATE COLLEGE OF EDUCATION IN ILESHA, OSUN STATE

The Students’ factors as Predictor of their academic performance in Osun State college of Education in Ilesha, Osun State Nigeria was investigated in this study. The objectives of this study were to determine whether students’ (i) motivation, study habits, attitude, interest and absenteeism are predictors of academic performance; (ii) motivation is a predictor of academic performance; (iii) study habits is a predictor of academic performance; (iv) attitude toward studying is a predictor of academic performance; (v) interest is a predictor of academic performance; and (vi) absenteeism is a predictor of students’ academic performance. Simple and multiple regressions were the statistical tools used for data analysis. The hypotheses were tested 0.05 levels of significant. This research consists of a title page, approval page, certification, abstract, list of abbreviations, Chapters One to Five (from introduction to conclusion), and references.
