Tanztrio scarf
Syncopated brioche lets you create stripes without cutting (or carrying) the yarn – at least until you need a third colour! Here, three yarns dance together in a simple but satisfying pattern. Sometimes the two colours on stage switch the lead, sometimes they change partners.
It adds up to more variation with less fuss, with just enough interest to keep you knitting to the next colour change, so the scarf grows fast. And with the yarn only cut about seven times over the whole pattern, you don’t have too many ends to weave in.
Tanztrio (German for “dance trio”) is suitable for brioche beginners, but does not include a tutorial. Both German and
English files are included.
The pattern is written for two different gauges – either an aran-weight, or a sock-weight yarn – and will work just as well in others: aim for about 100 g of each of three colours.
