Points on Path

• Select a path in the timeline (expand your shape layer, Contents > Shape > Path and click on "Path" to select it)
• Enter a number of points in the script panel to define how many null objects you want distributed along the path
• Click "Create Points on Path" to generate nulls evenly spaced along your path

Two sliders are automatically added to your shape layer:

• Point Offset - Slides all nulls along the path. Animate this to make points travel the path
• Percentage - Limits path coverage. Edit this value to define how much of the path the distribution of the nulls covers (from 0 to 100%)

keep in mind that:

• Path stays fully editable - Edit vertices, animate the path, nulls follow automatically
• Nulls are parented to the shape layer - Move/rotate the layer, nulls follow
