“Light Grazing on the Hill” - Panoramic
After coming up the hill from Hele (following the fence portrayed in ‘Shadows Outside Hele Mill’), I was treated to a spectacular scene: Both the setting sun and settling sheep were grazing lightly on the lush grass of this field.
Travelling light as usual, I took this multi-photo panorama by hand. I also particularly like how a single thin light cloud trails across the sky, parallel to and almost a mirror of the shadow trailing across the grass for almost the length of the panorama.
I’ve kept this scene in the natural golden colours of the sunset. The hazy hills in the distance are in the direction of Ellerhayes. I share some of the zoomed-in details of the warm colours in the preview image above. On the left, the peak of the hill at Killerton is just visible. The sheep of course seem nonplussed by my presence and the stereotypical beauty of Devon.
This image looks great when printed within a white mount and gold frame. You can buy a quality print, delivered to your door and ready to hang here: Light Grazing on the Hill prints.
Tech Specs: Multiple photos on Canon 6D @ 75mm, ISO 640, f/13, 1/160 sec. Stitched together and enhanced in Lightroom. JPEG download only.
