Highly recommended.

“Stories of Teacher Authenticity” is a deeply moving and refreshingly honest collection that celebrates the human side of teaching. Edited by Adelina Asmawi, George M Jacobs, Guo Qingli, and Willy A Renandya, this book brings together 20+ personal narratives from educators across the globe who reflect on what it means to be genuine in the classroom.

Each chapter offers a unique lens into the challenges, vulnerabilities, and triumphs of teachers who strive to walk their talk — modeling the values they teach and embracing the uncertainties of real learning. From moments of humility like saying “I don’t know” to fostering curiosity, compassion, and sustainability, the stories resonate with authenticity and courage.

What makes this book truly special is its accessibility and inclusivity. It features voices from all levels of education — from preschool to university — and is published freely online, making it a gift to the global teaching community.

Whether you're an educator, student, or lifelong learner, this book will inspire you to reflect, connect, and grow. It’s not just a tribute to teaching — it’s a call to be more human in how we learn and lead.

Highly recommended.

Practical ideas

For those who teach online and don't get to see other colleagues this is so good. Easy to read, and lots of takeaway ideas in every teachers story. I learnt a lot. Worth your time to read.
