Flexibly toggle GREP styles on and off in paragraph styles
GREP Styles On/Off Juggling is an Adobe InDesign script that turns the GREP styles inside paragraph styles on or off without deleting them. When you want to temporarily suspend a GREP style — to test a layout, troubleshoot formatting, or prepare a clean export — this script disables it in place, so it’s easy to switch back on later.
It can act on the paragraph style at your cursor, on several styles you pick from a list, or on every paragraph style in the document. Two disabling methods are offered: prefixing the GREP expression with * (InDesign’s convention for an inactive GREP style) or setting the matched character style to [None]. Styles that contain a mix of on and off GREP styles are handled with a dedicated prompt, one by one or in a single batch.
