This photo I took of the moon on a sunny day reminded me of the infamous NASA ‘Earthrise’ image taken in lunar orbit in 1968. The angle of shadow upon the celestial body (in this case, the Moon) also comes from beneath. Though instead of the lunar surface beneath, instead there’s a pleasing layer of high cloud.

 

This stock photo has blue sky, the moon, and high level clouds on a sunny day. I do enjoy seeing the moon during the day, there’s something special about it; and not just because it resembles the Death Star! Zoomed in to the image, you can see the large craters and ‘face’ of the moon.
