TME Advanced Football – Complete Years 7–9 Scheme of Learning

Develop technically secure and tactically intelligent footballers through 14 progressive lessons for Years 7–9. Pupils refine control, passing, dribbling, shooting, defending and movement off the ball before applying these skills within realistic conditioned games.

The scheme explores width, depth, support, combination play, overloads, transitions, defensive organisation and team tactics. Pupils learn not only how to perform effectively but also when and why particular techniques and tactical approaches should be used.

Each lesson provides detailed organisation, pitch dimensions, timings, equipment, teaching cues and safety guidance. Visual lesson infographics, STEP differentiation, SEND and EAL support, Head–Heart–Hands assessment, Assessment for Learning and purposeful non-playing roles are included. Structured metacognition and oracy prompts help pupils analyse patterns of play, justify decisions and contribute intelligently to team planning.
