The Elliott shawl is a delicate and weightless shoulder accssory. The shawl is knit in a classic triangular shape, starting at the top with a few cast-on stitches, then shaping with side and center increases to form a balanced triangle.
It is knitted in stripes/sections of garter stitch and eyelet stitch using fingering weight yarn in the main and contrast colors. For the contrast color, you can use more than one color if you prefer, or use a gradient or self striping yarn. The width of the stripes is based on the Fibonacci sequence. The two-color stripes are knitted with only one color at a time.
Finished measurements
Depth x Width (approx., blocked)
24 x 60 (inches) / 61 x 152 (cm)
Yardage (approx.)
MC: 460 yards / 420 meters
CC: 220 yards / 200 meters
