Elliott is a delicate and weightless shawl which is knit in a classic triangular shape. The knitting starts at the top of the shawl with a few cast-on stitches and is shaped with side increases to form a balanced triangle.
The scarf is knitted in two colors with a fingering weight yarn. For the contrast color, you can use more than one color if you prefer, or use a gradient or self striping yarn. It is worked in stripes/sections of garter stitch and eyelet stitch. The width of the stripes is based on the Fibonacci sequence. In two-color stripes, only one color is used at a time.
Finished measurements
Depth x Width (approx., blocked)
24 x 60 (inches) / 61 x 152 (cm)
Yardage (approx.)
MC: 460 yards / 420 meters
CC: 220 yards / 200 meters
Recommended yarn
