This asymmetrical triangular shawl is knit on the bias and shaped with increases along one side of the fabric. Knitting begins at the tip of the scarf with only a few cast on stitches. A slightly curved shape is naturally created as a result of the different tension between the edge stitches and the stitch patterns used in the body of the shawl. Simple rows of eyelets on a garter stitch background and a playful lace stitch pattern add depth and a touch of luxury to the finished shawl and make this pattern interesting to knit.

The shawl is designed as a single color project, but can easily be converted to a two color shawl to highlight the lace sections or eyelet rows with the contrast color.

The shawl shown on the cover is knitted in Small size and uses only one skein of yarn.
