Downloadable PDF knitting pattern.
Twilight Mist Scarf is knit sideways in a classic rectangular shape where the cast-on edge is for the length and the width of the scarf depends on the number of rows worked. It can be knit a single colour or in two alternating colours. The two-colour scarf is knitted in a slightly different stich pattern. The instructions for these different scarf styles are included in one file.
The pattern features two reversible lace stitch patterns. Moderately blocked it can serve as a scarf,
but with a classic way of blocking it can be stretched to make a lightweight lacy mini shawl. The different looks can be easily achieved due to different properties of various yarns. So feel free to experiment!
The featured scarf is knit in two strands of different lace weight yarns. For a lightweight, lofty and soft effect use two strands of lace mohair yarn. For the drape I replaced one strand of lace mohair with one strand of a non-stretchy lace weight yarn, which adds a bit of a weight to the scarf, blends well with the lace mohair yarn, becoming almost invisible.
You can also use a single strand of your favourite fingering weight yarn.
