TME Performance Netball Years 10–11 | Ages 14–16 | KS4
TME Performance Netball is a complete seven-lesson Scheme of Learning for Years 10–11 Core PE. It develops accurate skill execution, positional understanding, tactical movement and confident participation in full and adapted games.
The sequence begins with catching, passing, footwork and positional responsibilities before developing timed leads and passing into space. Pupils then refine shooting range and rebounding, followed by drives, dodges and roll-offs to create attacking space. Defensive lessons focus on legal marking, interception and team systems. The final phase develops attacking strategies, tournament play, officiating, positional leadership and tactical review.
The 16-page resource includes two curriculum and assessment pages, seven detailed one-page lesson plans and seven corresponding lesson infographics. The opening pages establish curriculum expectations, learning progression, vocabulary, safety, inclusion and Head–Heart–Hands assessment.
Every lesson contains:
- Head, Heart and Hands learning objectives
- Timed Warm-up, Explore, Develop, Apply and Plenary sections
- Court areas, group sizes, player rotations and equipment guidance
- Technical cues for passing, receiving, footwork, shooting and defending
- Conditioned practices that develop tactical awareness
- STEP differentiation for space, task, equipment and people
- AfL linked to movement, possession, shooting, defending and role fulfilment
- SEND and EAL support with visual modelling and meaningful alternative roles
- Explicit guidance on footwork, obstruction, contact and court safety
- Plan–Monitor–Reflect metacognition and structured tactical discussions
This teacher-friendly programme enables pupils to connect individual techniques with the positional and tactical demands of competitive netball.
