Handel’s Anthems for the coronation of King George II in 1727 remain popular to this day. Here, the opening of the second Anthem, The King Shall Rejoice, is arranged for SATB recorders, who represent choir, strings, oboes and brass in this bright Allegro movement.

Ideal for both small and larger recorder groups, this impressive piece shows off ensemble skills without individual lines being overly challenging.

The Soprano and Tenor lines are both moderate difficulty, while the Alto and Bass are slightly more challenging in places.
