Giovanna SAK – Chapter 1 Devotee - suffers a hug accident at home.

Giovanna is an Art History graduate student, she has an amputation at her thigh, due to an accident she suffered as a teenager.

She is in her last semester and is about to present her thesis at the University of São Paulo.

She wakes up in her house, where at the beginning of the day she walks around her house on crutches and leaves her stump showing, walks around the house, goes to the bathroom, and gets dressed, in her office she goes to get her prosthesis, puts on her prosthesis and begins to review her thesis.

She starts to study, reads her entire dissertation, figures out she needs to do some research and decides to get a book from the shelf, climbs into an armchair and tries to pick up the book when she loses her balance and falls on the floor, she feels it when she breaks her ankle besides twisting her knee, and when trying to put her hand on the ground, she breaks her wrist.

She cries in pain, crawls to her phone to call for help. She is taken to a clinic where the fractures are found, and she is informed that she will have a cast on her leg and arm.

The entire casting process is recorded. She is in a lot of pain and the cast is done carefully.

There are 16 minutes on the first chapter showing her waking up routine and showing her bare stump, walking around the house, enjoying the morning on crutches and putting on her prosthesis, going to study to finalise her thesis, including the moment when she suffers the painful accident.

At the end of that first chapter, the doctor arrives, gives the diagnosis, and starts casting her leg.
