- Notes from the Artist: Photographed in Türkiye, outside a handmade rug shop near the ancient city of Ephesus, this moment unfolded in a shimmer of color and stillness. The air was thick with sun and spice, and the walls around me breathed stories older than language. Then, he appeared. A peacock, radiant in blazing blues, emerald greens, and violet fire, standing sentinel at the doorway as if guarding the threshold between the past and now. His feathers caught the light like jewels in motion, yet his gaze was calm, knowing, eternal. For one suspended breath, the world softened. No tourists, no chatter, only the quiet pulse of history and the soft hum of recognition between us. Well Protected is that heartbeat, an offering of color, reverence, and connection in a place where time itself seems to bow its head.
