We know that the first class can be a little daunting, so don’t worry – we’re here to help you every step of the way! When you enter our training facility, you’ll be greeted by a member of our staff. From there you will fill in a quick liability form and we’ll have a chat with you about your goals and why you want to train at Empower Martial Arts Academy. From there we’ll get you on the mat for a warm up to loosen the body off and get the heart rate up, then it’s time to get started.
After class we’ll have a chat with you about starting your journey with us!
For the first class, we make it super easy and just ask you to wear something loose and bring some water to stay hydrated.
If you decide to start your journey with us at Empower Martial Arts Academy, we would suggest buying gloves and pads to begin with, and as you advance up the grades, a gum shield and shin guards as well.
Don’t worry though, we’ll let you know what kit you need to purchase as your journey with us develops.
We have a range of different membership options from basic training once a week, to unlimited training in as many classes as you want.
We also offer a huge family discount and student/NHS/special forces discounts.
After your first free trial class, one of our instructors will run you through all our memberships and see which one suits you best.
Our online courses are all individually priced and check out some promotional offers on these too!
We cater for all levels of fitness at Empower Martial Arts Academy. Exercises and drills are done at your pace, with the instructors there to give you a little push if you need it!
We’ll push you to better yourself and improve your fitness, but never take you beyond what you are capable of doing.
Through regular training, you’ll see your fitness, endurance and muscular ability improve, week to week and soon you’ll be able to do more and more each class.
We have our own full time training facility based near the Carlton Centre in Lincoln with over 100 mat space, weights and fitness equipment, reception and viewing area.
We run classes Monday Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday currently.
We also have an online tribe where you can learn some basics, enjoy some of our courses and become part of our community!
Our Applied Martial Arts syllabus follows a traditional grading structure from white grade all the way to black and beyond.
Our syllabus is split into 4 years, with 4 grades in each year.
Therefore there are 16 grades to black with a minimum of 4 years training to reach this level.
We also have instructor grades which are slightly different for both junior and adult programs.
