I was scrolling way too late on Instagram last night and happened upon a reel of someone who dedicates December to finishing off works in progress. Her method is to scour the house for all of the unfinished projects and things that need mending and put them all on one table, but I don't have the table space for that so here's my virtual table of unfinished business. I'm only including the things I've actually started working on, not the things where I've been collecting components or mentally making a note to get round to, except for things that need repairs.
- Cernunnos, the felted deer god statue
- Witch Cottage Doll's House
- Toadstool Fairy House
- Beaded curtain
- Rag Rug
- A box full of socks that need darning
- Cross-stitch spaniel
- Embroidered toadstool tablecloth
- Abstract embroidery
- Macrame plant hanger
- Thread organiser
- Workbench
- Gumball Everything Machine
- Eggshell powder
- Aerial view stumpwork
- Repair Housemate's door
- Sewn bathroom organisers
- Bead organiser
- Christmas Presents
- Energy drink pins
- Lime skin boxes
Of these, the following are projects I can finish in the short term:
- Cernunnos
- Sock darning
- Cross stitch
- Toadstool tablecloth
- Abstract embroidery
- Plant hanger
- Eggshell Powder
- Christmas presents
- Housemate's door
- Bathroom organisers
These ones are big ongoing projects or require more money/materials/time:
- Witchy doll house
- Faerie toadstool house
- Beaded curtain
- Rag Rug
- Workbench
- Gumball Everything Machine
- Bead organiser
- Thread organiser
Priority for next year:
- Gumball Everything Machine
- Workbench
These two will make life so much easier when it comes to getting other things done, like rip sawing the wood for the thread organiser and cutting the pieces for the bead organiser. I'll also maybe have a chance of finding my DIY tools once I've got the workbench storage done.
So I guess we'll see how much I manage to get done in the next month?
