PLACE TO TALK THERAPIES | Resource Library

Evidence-informed therapeutic resources for counsellors, psychotherapists, clinical supervisors, and the people they work with.

Created by Kay Parkinson, BACP Accredited counsellor, clinical supervisor, and founder of Place to Talk Therapies, these resources are designed to support trauma-informed, neuroaffirming, and shame-sensitive practice.

Whether you're looking for something practical to use in your next session, or exploring these themes in your own life, you'll find resources that encourage reflection, deepen understanding, and support meaningful conversations. Rather than prescribing answers, they are designed to create the safety needed for curiosity to emerge.

A different starting point

We often assume that change begins with a solution.

In this work, it rarely does.

More often, it begins with enough safety for curiosity to arrive.

That is the thread running through this library: helping people move from protection towards curiosity, rather than from problem to fix.

For practitioners

Therapist companions, session tools, and reference guides grounded in current research and written for the therapy room rather than the textbook.

For individuals

Reflective worksheets and guided exercises to use in therapy or in your own time. There is no right way to complete them, no pressure to reach a particular answer, and no expectation that change happens on a particular page.

Start wherever feels right. There is no correct place to begin.
