Hi! I’m Helen Cotton, founder and lead educator of SalonED Training 💇🏻‍♀️

I’ve been in the hairdressing industry 35 years. I'm a qualified hairdressing educator and assessor with more than a decade of experience training apprentices, leading a tutor team and coaching stylists and salon owners.

Along the way, I’ve owned a salon, and worked as a Head Tutor, Regional Manager and Training Director, helping to grow businesses and gaining experience across the education, leadership and business sides of our industry. I was named Servilles Academy Educator of the Year in 2020, became a national finalist for Professional Educator of the Year in 2022 and 2023, and was runner-up in 2024.

I still work behind the chair, renting one chair today, so I understand the real numbers, responsibilities and decisions that come with it.

Everything in my store is something I wish someone had handed me - practical, honest and created to help hairdressers make informed decisions with confidence.
