- The Unexpected Mr Hopkins - Cassie’s a bit too busy saving the magic world to write a full description, but this book does have… Eager-for-battle ghosts, misbehaving Tower ravens, on-call dragons, rat-stomping trolls, a tiny bit of necromancy, and a half-troll who just happens to like crochet and classic TV. You know, your basic ingredients to a rip-roaring story.
If you like contemporary fantasy filled with wry humor, paranormal mystery, bad-tempered sourdough starter, and diabolical office chairs, you'll find it hard to pry yourself away from the Cassie Black Trilogy 2.0.
