In the current political and socio-economical climate, authors and other creatives who sell digital works are being targeted more than ever on larger retail sites resulting in them being de-platformed (and losing income).

Or, are you worried you might lose your Patreon account? Do you hate using Substack because of problematic creators platformed there? Are you an online educator looking to set up courses? Are you a musician/band who wants to create a special gathering place for your fans or to sell merch and music files?

Every creative should have their own site to sell direct from. But let's be honest that the creation, upkeep and maintenance, and security issues required to do that can make the task nearly impossible for some. Not to mention dealing with payment gateways.

While Payhip does have content restrictions, its turn-key functionality and affordable price are great selling points for authors and other creatives who sell digital (and physical) items. Not just that, but you can sell online classes, paywalled content, coaching, and more through it. And you can even embed items from Payhip on your existing website.

If you want to sell direct but you know you reasonably cannot set up and maintain a self-hosted store, Payhip might be exactly what you need.

This is the class for you. I will go over the basic features in plain-speak to help you understand them so you can quickly get started selling direct to your audience!

Class will last approximately two hours and will be recorded so members can download it after the fact. You do not need to be present for class, but you won’t be able to ask live questions if you aren’t. You can email me ahead of time with questions to address in the class. After I process and upload the video file, I will email a Dropbox link to participants, and you’ll have 2 weeks to download it.

I will email the Zoom information and password to students within 2 hours before class starts, so make sure your email information is correct! If you use a different email for payment, please shoot me a message so I can make sure you get the info.
