PROGRAMMED MIDI

MIDI ONLY, NO AUDIO

These files contain notes, not sound. Load your own guitar, bass and drum instruments.

WHAT'S INCLUDED (40 MIDI files)

- 8 FULL files, one per arrangement (all parts together)

- 8 each of guitar, bass, lead and drum split part files (32 files)

- Composition spec for each arrangement (score.json, optional; not needed to use the MIDI)

- Quick-start guide in English and French, drum map (DRUM-MAP.json), file index, checksums, licence

FULL OR SPLIT PARTS, NOT BOTH

Load the FULL file or the split parts, never both, or every note plays twice.

SET YOUR TUNING TO DROP C#

Guitar tuning: C#2 G#2 C#3 F#3 A#3 D#4. Bass tuning (4-string): C#1 G#1 C#2 F#2.

Your guitar instrument must reach MIDI 37 (C#2) and your bass instrument MIDI 25 (C#1); every arrangement uses both notes. A six-string in standard tuning stops at MIDI 40 (E2) and a four-string bass in standard tuning stops at MIDI 28 (E1), so set both to Drop C#.

Guitar MIDI 37 to 66 and lead MIDI 59 to 87, all within 24 frets. Bass MIDI 25 to 42.

FORMAT

Standard MIDI files, format 1, 960 PPQ. Time signature 4/4. GM drums on channel 10; guitar on channel 1, bass on 2, lead on 3. Not tested with specific DAWs or operating systems.

LICENCE

Use the MIDI files in your own music, commercial or not, with no further fees or credit, and edit them freely inside your works. You may not resell, share or redistribute the MIDI files themselves. Full terms: LICENSE.txt in the download.
