CLIMATE CHAOS: A Biome Racing Game
Climate Chaos is a fast paced geography and earth science game where students must identify biomes based on real climate clues while racing through dangerous terrain. Players are shown a description such as Less than 10 inches of rain per year, Permanently frozen ground, or Found near the Equator and must steer their vehicle into the correct biome lane before time runs out. Each lane represents a different climate zone, desert, rainforest, or tundra, and only one is correct for each clue.
The game combines reading comprehension with geography knowledge. Students are not just memorizing biome names, they must understand what climate words like humid, permafrost, dry, and equatorial actually mean. As the score increases, the vehicle moves faster, forcing quick thinking and reinforcing automatic recognition of climate patterns.
