GRID RUNNER: A Latitude and Longitude Game

Global Grid Runner is a fast moving geography game that teaches latitude and longitude by turning the world into a flight grid. Students pilot a plane across a map divided by the Equator and the Prime Meridian and must fly to the correct quadrant based on clues such as North West, 20° N 40° E, or China North East. Every round gives a new coordinate or directional clue, and players must quickly decide which part of the world it describes.

The game starts with simple directions and gradually introduces real coordinates, helping younger students build confidence while still challenging older learners. Because North, South, East, and West are always visible on screen, students continuously reinforce how latitude and longitude work instead of guessing.
