This workbook is for hotel opening teams, executive housekeepers, rooms directors and owners who must fit out a block of standard rooms on time and on budget. You enter the room count, tier and opening date. The workbook builds the room specification, the quantities for each package, a first-order budget with order-by dates, the labour needed to set the rooms up, and a tracker that releases each room to sale only after it passes inspection. Prices are examples. You replace them with your own vendor quotes.

How it works

2. Review the Tier_Library and Schedules tabs. Replace example prices with your quotes and change quantities where your standard differs.
3. Enter three quotes per package in Vendor_Comparison and pick the award.
4. Read First_Order_Summary for the budget, order-by dates and monthly cash-out. Check Labor_Headcount for hiring dates.
5. Inspect each room with Inspection_Checklist and release it in Room_Release_Tracker.

Good to know

All names, prices, salaries and ratios are illustrative. Amounts are in VND as a budgeting example, and the star classification on Room_Standard is a national standard used as an example. Replace both with local data and verify local requirements. This is a working tool, not professional advice. One purchase is a single-user license: do not redistribute.

FAQ

Do I need special software? Excel (Windows or Mac) or LibreOffice Calc.

Does it work in Google Sheets? You can upload it to Google Sheets. The formulas are standard, but I have not tested every feature there. The workbook was recalculated in LibreOffice with no formula errors.

Can I edit it? Yes. Blue cells are inputs: prices, quantities, ratios, salaries, tiers and dates.

Are the prices real? No. They are example placeholders. Replace them with quotes from your own vendors.

Does it cover suites, villas or public areas? No. It covers standard King and Twin rooms.

Who is it for? Opening teams, housekeeping and rooms managers, procurement staff and owners fitting out hotel rooms.
