When guitarists develop pain or stiffness at the inner or outer elbow, the instinct is to rub the sore spot and rest. Neither addresses what is actually happening. The forearm flexors are chronically locked short from years of fretting and gripping. They pull constantly on their attachment points at the elbow. The joint does not fail all at once. It gets pulled apart slowly, rep by rep, session by session.
This protocol works through three phases:
Release: address the proximal anchor first: the tissues above the elbow that are overloading it before a single note is played.
Reset: restore nerve pathway mobility and reintroduce joint sense that chronic gripping tends to dull over years of playing.
Rebuild:load the tissue without letting the flexors hijack the movement, building strength in the exact rotational direction guitarists are consistently weakest.
