"I've had that ache at the base of my neck for fifteen years. I assumed it was just part of playing. This card addressed it in a way nothing else had reached. Six weeks in and it barely shows up any more." Brian, 56, Nashville

Your neck is holding up a head that your back has abandoned. A 9-exercise system targeting the C7-T1 junction where guitarists accumulate the most chronic stiffness.

Peering down at a fretboard for years locks the chest muscles short, exhausts the upper back, and forces the neck to do a job it was never designed to do alone. The neck cannot be fixed in isolation. Release the chest and thoracic spine first, or the neck will simply reload the same pattern the moment you stop stretching it.

This protocol works through three phases:

Release: loosen the pectoralis minor and the upper trapezius, the primary drivers of forward shoulder roll and forward head drift, before addressing anything at the neck directly.

Reset: retrain the breathing pattern and rebuild the postural reflex that stops the neck from bracing constantly against the weight of the head.

Rebuild:reactivate the deep neck flexors and mid-back stabilisers that keep the head over the shoulders during long sessions without effort.

9 exercises. Clear anatomical illustrations. Sets, reps, and what you should feel for each one.

Print it, stick it on the wall, or pull it up on your iPad before you play.

What's included

  • 1 high-resolution PDF protocol card, designed for iPad or printing
  • Step-by-step anatomical illustrations for every exercise

This is for you if

You're 40+, you play guitar, and your neck and upper back stiffen within the first 20 minutes of playing. You feel tension between the shoulder blades and into the base of the skull. Stretching gives temporary relief but never holds beyond the session.
