DESCRIPTION:
Coming your way in six color variations to show you just how easy it is to become the guardian of your next idea. Take this template from Bloom, Flora, Layla/Aisha, Musa, Stella, or Tecna...to your very own creation! I can't wait to see all the magic and wonder you spin with this one! I know you will more likely be using this for your own characters, but I couldn't help but channel my love for our childhood nostalgia faves! And I didn't want to make you choose between them either. That's why this purchase includes all six versions!! Each girl has their own nine-page Google Doc template!
I expected to like the Flora one the most as she was always my favorite, but I really fell in love with the Musa and Tecna versions here! Plus, I wanted to showcase that this template was amenable to all kinds of color schemes. Because Musa is a bit more tomboy and has a darker palette, I was tempted to make her cover page darker too. However, I liked the continuity across them all (that's also why each one has a "partner" for the main accent color), so that desire won out in the end. But perhaps you'll put an even different spin on things! I'm always interested in seeing people put templates in action, but I'd be especially curious what you get up to with these ones if you ever want to share your work with me :)
Complexity Level: So, due to the fun shapes of the images, every single one here uses the Drawings function. But I've tried to make it as easy as possible by almost always putting everything on the same drawing per page, to limit having to click around and such. The subtitles are often their own items (in order to be in front of the text), but most other things are combined behind the text! So you'll be able to edit the text from any mobile app pretty easily, but the design, colors, and images will have to be done on a desktop of some kind.
Page Order: Cover, introduction, appearance, characteristics, personality, details, insights, backstory, and connections.
TIPS ON MAKING IT YOUR OWN:
- For full editing capabilities, you will need to access this template on a computer. Templates are viewable on mobile if you toggle the "Print Layout" option (likely to be found in the top-right menu).
- Text, colors, and layout elements can be adjusted to fit your needs. Nonetheless, do not remove the linked emoji (page one) and credit links (page seven and eight) that direct to my Tumblr.
- The visuals have been added as Google "drawings". Editing drawings requires double-clicking them first and clicking on them once and then clicking the "Edit" button on the bar that appears underneath the drawing. Either of these actions will open the drawing editing window.
- Avoid copy-pasting images directly into the document, as this may disrupt the formatting. Always use the "Replace Image" function instead.
- Be mindful of text limits and the sizes of text boxes, as exceeding what is already in the template can disrupt the formatting.
- The "Backstory" page is formatted in a way that will allow you to use more pages without any formatting issues. The text will simply continue on in a two-column manner and push the last page back. You may also choose to add decorative foreground images to these pages, but that is up to your discretion. You'll just need to move/delete the one that is there already if your text goes over what I put in this master template.
YOU WILL RECEIVE:
- A PDF with a link to the template's Google Doc.
- This includes instructions on how to make your own copy and protect it properly.
- A PDF with usage instructions and troubleshooting support options.
NOTES:
- I would've loved to spend the next two months doing my little fancast of the Winx Club girlies, but then I would've never made this template. So. Don't take that too seriously haha. They're just someone I found cute in general; I didn't bother overthinking things and making their ages match up to one another or whatever. Just vibes! But if you're curious, I used Samantha Cormier as Bloom, Isabela Merced as Flora, Ashley Moore as Layla/Aisha, Summer Ferguson as Stella, Ju Xiaowen as Musa, and Tasha Rodriguez as Tecna.
- The amazing art on page four is by the amazing Lady Shalirin.
