Host Stand, Seating Rotation & Waitlist Quote Kit: Host Log, Waitlist Quote Times and Server Rotation in Excel and Word
Full description
For restaurant hosts, outlet managers and food and beverage directors who want guests quoted an honest wait and servers seated fairly. The workbook logs every party (225 sample parties over 5 evenings), quotes walk-in waits from parties ahead, average table turn and tables in service, and compares each quote with the actual wait. It shows covers by server against the average, covers by section, the reservation and walk-in mix by hour, the walk-away rate and the no-show rate with a hold policy. The Word guide sets the host stand procedure: set-up checklist, 12 greeting scripts, reservation and phone scripts, seating rules, the quote method with a worked example read from the workbook, hold rules and printable forms.

FAQ
How is the quote calculated?
Parties ahead times the average turn for the table band, divided by the tables of that size in service, plus a buffer, rounded up to the next 5 minutes. Every value is an input on Settings.
Can I use it for more than one outlet?
Use one copy of the workbook per outlet. Settings hold one floor plan.
What does the fairness index measure?
A server's covers divided by the average covers per server. The heavy and light limits are inputs.
How many parties can the log hold?
The sample has 225 parties and 50 spare rows. Insert rows above the last row to add more; formulas copy down.
Do I need macros?
No. Every result is a standard worksheet formula.
