INSECURITY AND TRANSPORTATION PROBLEM IN NIGERIA. (A CASE STUDY OF LAGOS-IBADAN EXPRESSWAY)

This study investigates the safety challenges in transportation in Nigeria, especially in Lagos state. Road transportation is one of the most prevalent and widely used means of transportation in Nigeria. The importance of a good transport system to urban development cannot be overemphasized. The study engages both primary and secondary sources, including field surveys, personal interviews, and questionnaires.

The main concern is the examination of exposed and unexposed commuters in the various locations to determine the degrees of exposure to risks associated with the ‘basket’ of modes, state of infrastructures, and specific risk factors, which account for the fatalities observed on the different roads under consideration. This research consists of a title page, approval page, certification, abstract, table of contents, list of abbreviations, Chapters One to Five (from introduction to conclusion), and references. This research consists of 81 pages.
