IMPACT OF LACK OF MATERIAL ON CRAFTSMEN (BLOCKLAYERS) PERFORMANCE IN CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

This study investigates how the unavailability or shortage of construction materials affects the productivity, efficiency, and overall performance of craftsmen, particularly blocklayers, in the construction industry. It explores the relationship between material management practices, project delays, cost overruns, and workmanship quality. The specific objectives of the study are tidentify the factors contributing to material scarcity in the construction sector and its impact on blocklayer performance; to examine the impact of lack of material on quality of work of craftsmen in construction industry; to recommend strategies for mitigating the negative effects of material scarcity on blocklayer performance and construction projects.
