ANALYSIS OF FIRE SAFETY IN HIGH-RISE BUILDINGS IN KARU, ABUJA
Extensive loss of lives and properties from incessant fire outbreaks are indicative of some obvious need to tackle the problem of fire incidence from prevention to recovery. Fire outbreak is one of the risks associated with high rise buildings because the buildings consist of multiple floors which create a cumulative effect that require many people to travel through vertical distances. This study assessed the design methods used to prevent the spread of fire in High Rise buildings in Karu Local Government Area, Abuja.
The specific objectives for this study are to examine the extent awareness of fire rsik and fire safety measures provided in High-Rise building in Karu LGA; to find the relationship between Fire Safety Measures and Prescribed Fire Safety Standards; to examine the influence of Factors that Hinder the Integration of Fire Safety Equipment in High-Rise Buildings; to identify methods to improve fire safety of high-rise building users. This research consists of a title page, approval page, certification, abstract, Chapters One to Five (from introduction to conclusion), and references.
