IMPACT OF PROCUREMENT SYSTEM ON CONSTRUCTION COST PERFORMANCE IN NIGERIA

Procurement systems are vital in ensuring the successful implementation of a construction project, precisely executed for all phases of any particular project. The aim of the study is to evaluate the influence of procurement methods on cost performance of building projects in Nigeria particularly in Osun State. Specific objectives of the study are to identify and assess the extent of usage of the procurement system available in Osun State, Nigeria; to determine the effect of procurement system on cost performance in Osun State, Nigeria; to evaluate the actual performance of the construction project after following the procurement procedures.
