THE USAGE OF PSYCHOACTIVE SUBSTANCES AMONG STUDENTS OF IGBINEDION UNIVERSITY OKADA
This research investigates the prevalence, patterns, and effects of psychoactive substance use among students of Igbinedion University, Okada. It explores the social, psychological, and academic factors influencing substance use and identifies the most commonly abused drugs within the student population. The objectives of this study are as to determine the prevalence of substance use among students; to identify the factors associated with psychoactive substance use among students; to explore the consequences of psychoactive substance use on students' academic performance, mental health, and overall well-being; to evaluate the existing policies and interventions aimed at addressing psychoactive substance use among students and provide recommendations for improvement.
