PERCEPTION AND ATTITUDE OF MALE INVOLVEMENT IN ANTENATAL VISIT IN ADUWAN JEMA'A LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA KAFANCHAN
This study explores the perception and attitude of men towards participating in antenatal care (ANC) alongside their partners in Aduwan, Jema’a Local Government Area of Kafanchan, Kaduna State. It seeks to understand how cultural beliefs, socioeconomic factors, and awareness levels influence male participation in maternal health programs. The specific objectives of this research are to assess the perception of men regarding the antenatal visits in Aduwan Jema’a LGA; to explore the attitudes of men towards participating in antenatal care sessions; to explore the male Involvement in maternal health care; to examine the socio-cultural factors influencing male involvement in antenatal care; to propose recommendations and strategies for enhancing male involvement in antenatal care.
