Amaranthine Entrapments
LEARNING TO FLY WITH CLIPPED WINGS.
Frayed edges. Strained expectations. Passing glances.
A heart that beats. What lies beneath.
Are you ready to see behind the closed curtain?
DESCRIPTION:
This is a twelve-page Google Doc template for a single muse. I wanted its vibe to balance the fear of staying stuck in the expectations of who you've become (or been forced to be), with the fear of disappointing those around you if you gain the freedom you're dreaming of. A hint of the golden age of the circus. A touch of things that go bump in the night. And all kinds of space to explore what that means for your character! It's definitely on the maximalist side design-wise, but hopefully not too overwhelming!
Complexity Level: All of the images are drawings, but I think I've finally cracked the code on how to make that as easy as possible for you to edit.
Page Order: Front cover, overview, residence, appearance, personality, characteristics, details, magic, relationships, backstory x2, and back cover.
Elements: Warm tones, red/maroon, pink/salmon, dark yellow/brass, tan/beige, supernatural, folklore, circus, gilded cage, arches, mysterious forest, what lurks in the shadows
TIPS ON MAKING IT YOUR OWN:
- For full editing capabilities, you will need to access this template on a computer. Templates are viewable on mobile if you toggle the "Print Layout" option (likely to be found in the top-right menu).
- Text, colors, and layout elements can be adjusted to fit your needs. Nonetheless, do not remove the linked emoji [✵] and credit link [template by kaleidoscope docs ✵] that direct to my Tumblr.
- The visuals have been added as Google "drawings". Editing drawings requires double-clicking them first and clicking on them once and then clicking the "Edit" button on the bar that appears underneath the drawing. Either of these actions will open the drawing editing window.
- Avoid copy-pasting images directly into the document, as this may disrupt the formatting. Always use the "Replace Image" function instead.
- Be mindful of text limits and the sizes of text boxes, as exceeding what is already in the template can disrupt the formatting.
- The "Backstory" page is formatted in a way that will allow you to use more pages without any formatting issues, so long as you maintain the section break between pages one and two. There are details on how to ensure this is done correctly in the document itself. If your backstory extends to three or more pages, the text will simply continue on in a two-column manner and push the last page back. You may also choose to add decorative foreground images to these pages, but that is up to your discretion.
YOU WILL RECEIVE:
- A PDF with a link to the template's Google Doc.
- This includes instructions on how to make your own copy and protect it properly.
- A PDF with usage instructions and troubleshooting support options.
