AN ASSESSMENT/ EVALUATION OF POVERTY ALLEVIATION PROGRAMS IN NIGERIA: A COMMUNITY DRIVEN DEVELOPMENT (CDD) APPROACH.
The main purpose of the study was to evaluate the implementation of the Community and Social Development Programme (CSDP) using the community driven development approach in the development of communities in Nigeria. The primary objectives of this research are to examine the role of community-driven development approaches in poverty alleviation programs in Nigeria using Abia State as a case study; to assess the impact of community participation on the design, implementation, and sustainability of poverty alleviation initiatives; to identify the key factors influencing the successful implementation of community-driven development approaches; to provide recommendations for policymakers and practitioners to enhance the integration of community-driven development approaches in poverty alleviation programs.
