Swoosh Bag 2.0
On Sale
$0.00
A more advanced version of the Swoosh Bag - which addes depth to the bag using a bottom piece and side gussets - as well as an interior zipper pocket. If you are brand new to bag making I would suggest the original version of this bag first before moving on to this one.
Before beginning, make sure you have the following:
This download of the pattern pieces - print them on card stock, MEASURE THE TEST SQUARE to make sure it is one inch before cutting out your pieces.
-Two zippers - I use number 5 nylon zipper which I purchase by the yard and cut to size - one should be at least 8 inches end to end and the other should be at least twelve inches or longer.
-Two half inch d rings
-Two swivel clips for your cross body strap, the size of which will be your preference
And the following pieces cut:
-From the main rectangle piece: 2 exterior vinyl (or interfaced fabric if you prefer) 3 lining (yes THREE - one will be your zipper pocket) I use waterproof canvas for lining
-From the pocket piece: 1 exterior 1 lining
-Two strap connector pieces out of your exterior
-One binding piece about 1x10 inches (at this size, the binding piece has to be vinyl - if you wanted to use fabric it would need to be twice as wide so you could double fold it to hide the raw edges).
-From the bottom piece: 1 exterior 1 lining
-From the side gusset piece: 2 exterior 2 lining
-You’ll also cut a strap to your desired length and width which I’ll discuss in the part 2 video of this tutorial.
