Conversation & Listening - The Woman

In this lesson, students explore issues around refugees and immigration. They listen to the story of a woman who escaped her country and started a new life together with her daughter. They also create life plans for imaginary refugees to help them plan a successful new life.
The lesson attempts to encourage students to empathise with refugees and immigrants and to see the value of their contribution to society.

Aims:

• To develop student's understanding of immigrants and refugees as a positive addition to their society.
