Daniel Chiva Sanz: „Remembrance“

„Remembrance“ ist ein Duett für Violine und Kontrabass, das versucht, beim Zuhörer die Erinnerung an verschiedene Filme hervorzurufen. Es sind Passagen dabei, die von Actionfilmen bis hin zu Romanzen reichen. Beide Instrumente beteiligen sich aktiv an der melodischen Entwicklung.

Die Ausgabe besteht aus je einer Stimme für Violine und Kontrabass, die mit jeweils 4 Seiten so gerade auf einen Notenständer passen, damit das Stück ohne zu Blättern spielbar ist. Hinzu kommen Probestimmen für jedes Instrument mit einer verkleinerten Notenzeile des jeweils anderen Instrumentes mit 7 bzw. 8 Seiten. Die Stimmen des Kontrabasses sind dabei immer in Solostimmung notiert.

"Remembrance" is a duet for violin and double bass that attempts to evoke memories of various films in the listener. There are passages ranging from action films to romances. Both instruments actively participate in the melodic development.

The edition consists of one part each for violin and double bass, each with 4 pages that just fit on a music stand so that the piece can be played without having to turn the pages. In addition, there are rehearsal parts for each instrument with a reduced stave of the other instrument with 7 or 8 pages. The double bass parts are always notated in solo tuning.
