Squares in Squares – nine size FPP Pattern (PDF Download)

Don’t we all have our favorite fabrics that we keep even the tiniest scraps of cause we just can’t throw away those cuties? With fuzzy cutting you can highlight even the smallest parts of your beloved fabrics and show it off in whatever you like. One of the most popular shapes for this technique is the square in square and this pattern lifts it to the next level – squares in squares. So let’s have some fun with scraps!

The pattern comes in nine different sizes – 3“ x 3“, 3.5“ x 3.5“, 4“ x 4“, 4.5“ x 4.5“, 5“ x 5“, 5.5“ x 5.5“, 6“ x 6“, 6.5“ x 6.5“ and 7“ x 7“ (unfinished at 3.5“ x 3.5“, 4“ x 4“, 4.5“ x 4.5“, 5“ x 5“, 5.5“ x 5.5“, 6“ x 6“, 6.5“ x 6.5“, 7“ x 7“ and 7.5“ x 7.5“) as PDF files in A4 & US Letter paper format.

This pattern is a beginner friendly foundation paper piecing (FPP) pattern that assumes only little basic knowledge of paper piecing. It does not include detailed FPP instructions. You can find lots of free tutorials for the various FPP methods online. This pattern can be made with just a few cotton scraps from your stash.
