This study examines the impact of the problem-solving and lecture teaching methods on the academic performance of Biology students in secondary schools. It seeks to identify which approach yields better understanding, retention, and application of biological concepts. The research further investigates how gender, learning environment, and teacher competence influence students’ performance when either of the two methods is applied. Data will be collected from selected secondary schools through achievement tests, questionnaires, and classroom observations. Statistical analysis will determine the significance of differences between students taught using the problem-solving approach and those taught through the lecture method.
