Walk in Boston # 3, the old and new East Boston

This self-guided tour takes you to a neighborhood that has changed a lot since the 2000s.

You'll have some of the best views of Downtown Boston from across the harbor, especially at night. You'll discover a lightship, a working shipyard, rows of triple deckers, a church with an impressive organ (if open), and lots of public art. Finally, you’ll visit a recent residential area where you can sunbathe while lying on deckchairs by the water.

There will also be the chance to taste what has been described as “the best New York style pizzas in the city”, find Colombian flan or Australian pies and taste local cider.
