WHO AM I ….REALLY?

I am Marilyn Smith . An Author, Certified Midwife, Mentor and Clinical Instructor with BSN Certification and over thirty- six years of nursing / midwifery experience in the beautiful country of Nassau , The Bahamas.

I always wanted to become a nurse before I graduated from high school. It was not easy being admitted into the nursing program where I live in The Bahamas.

My career began with the idea that I wanted to become a nurse and I truly believed it, despite the fact that I had to return to school after graduating from high school. I am a believer that if you can think and see anything you desire then it is possible.

Because of the struggles I had in the beginning of going back to school after graduating, I finally got the subjects that required my admittance into nursing program.

After successfully being admitted, I was determined to put my all in and serve my fellow man with excellence.

And that I did. I became so passionate about it that I elevated to Nursing Officer # 1. A high ranking position to provide me with the opportunity and training to serve women not only in The Bahamas but also globally. 

As a seasoned nurse and midwife with labor and delivery specialties; I am pregnant with experiences, and evidenced based information I would love to share with you.

There is no doubt I am captivated by the field of health care with women

I am also an author of the book Kingdom Lifestyles for Children: Kids on a Mission to Shine.

I am happily married and blessed with five wonderful children and I believe that the journey to parenthood should be happy, healthy, and safe.

Making life inspirational, empowering, and confident for families is my goal.

As a pregnant mom soon to give birth, I want to prepare you for what we all know is coming - LABOR . Just thinking about it I know can be overwhelming and challenging.
