We believe that the way something is made is inseparable from what it stands for. At Palm Tote, every decision we make — from the materials we choose to the quantities we produce — is guided by a commitment to doing things properly and leaving as little behind as possible.

How we work sustainably

Every bag in our collection is handwoven by us in Morocco from natural, biodegradable plant fibres — palm leaf, palm straw and raffia. These materials require no synthetic processing, no petroleum-derived inputs, and no industrial machinery. They come from the earth and, at the end of a long life, return to it without leaving a trace.

We work in small quantities and never overproduce. There are no end-of-season clearance sales at Palm Tote, because we do not make more than we can sell with care and intention. Every piece is made to order or produced in considered batches — a practice that keeps waste minimal by design.

Our packaging is recycled and plastic-free. We are continuously working to reduce our environmental footprint across every part of the business, and we will always be transparent about where we are on that journey.

What we stand against

Fast fashion is one of the most environmentally damaging industries on the planet — responsible for an estimated 92 million tonnes of textile waste every year, and built on a model of overproduction, underpayment and disposability. Palm Tote is a deliberate alternative to that model. We make less. We make it better. And we make it to last.

Every Palm Tote bag is handwoven by us in Morocco using traditional techniques passed down through generations. There are no factories, no production lines, and no shortcuts. Each piece is the result of skilled hands, patient craft, and a genuine belief that the things worth making are worth making properly.
